Mexico City, 1956
At a very young age she discovered the love for painting. She spent hours drawing. Colors,
lines and forms encouraged her to continue. She never imagined the great satisfaction that
this passion would bring to her. She studied with two great teachers José Luis Gomez and
Luz María Solloa. She attended for several years “Casa del Lago, UNAM” where she learnt
how to draw the human body. She studied abstract painting at the “Universidad Iberoameri-
cana” , drawing, painting and history of art at the “Centro de Capacitacion Técnica SEP“. She
attended different watercolor workshops with very important masters, and abstract paint-
ing with the recognized Mexican artist Jose Luis Bustamante.
Her work has been exhibited in galleries and numerous art centers in Mexico and overseas
at Mauritius Island, Africa; St Petersburg, Russia; Fabriano, Italy; Cusco , Peru; Pilsen’ Czech
Republic; Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Several magazines have published her artworks.

Awards: Second place in the III Art-Bridge-watercolor international competition, St Peters-
bourg, Russia, 2015; First place in the watercolor competition, Museo de Acuarela Alfredo
Guati Rojo, 2012; Honorary Mention in the contest organized by the Olympic Committee
for the Olympic Games in London 2012. She’s been working in the project “Mexico, Art and
Time” and “Light, science and art” directing the painting of murals with elementary school
children in Toluca, Mexico and Villahermosa, Tabasco, Mexico, organized by ARTAC UNES-
CO and Museo de la Luz.
She is a member of the Asociación de Artistas Plásticos de México, A.C. ARTAC; Asociacion
Mexicana de Acuarelistas, A.C, SMA, Sociedad Mexicana de Artistas de las Artes Plásticas,
A.C. SOMAAP, Comunidad Internacional de Mujeres en el Arte. ComuArte.
