Artist’s Statement

My work is a diverse collection of paintings, sculp-
tures, digital and film photography. Each project be-
gins with the medium itself guiding the development
of the subject matter, often leading to works that
explore ambiguous scenes—an ongoing theme that
drives my creative investigation.

My artistic journey was shaped by full scholarships
at prestigious institutions such as the Art Students
League, the New York Studio School, and the Skow-
hegan School of Painting and Sculpture and the
Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and
Art.

Experimenting with different materials is central to my
practice. It is a persistent, sometimes elusive force
that continually inspires my work. For more than 65
years, I have embraced experimentation and wel-

comed unexpected discoveries, shaping a distinctive
artistic voice through ongoing exploration.

As the owner of River Studio Gallery in Norwich, Con-
necticut, I continue to pursue innovation and em-
brace the unpredictable pathways that art reveals. I
invite you to enter my creative world, where medium,
concept, and chance converge to express the inner
visions behind each piece
