Executive: Managing Director
L L (Liziwe) Mda (55) joined the SABN as the Managing Director on 2 May 2018 and was appointed as the Executive Director to the SABN Board on 14 May 2018. She was also appointed as a non-executive director of the South African Mint Board with effect from the same date.
Ms Mda holds a BSc degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Natal, an MSc degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of the Witwatersrand (Wits), and an MBA from the Wits Business School.
Chief Financial Officer
A S (Ahmed) Haffejee (52) was appointed as the Chief Financial Officer of the SABN in June 2012. He is responsible for finance, governance, risk and compliance, procurement, contract management, stores, information and communications technology (ICT) and catering.
Mr Haffejee holds a Bachelor of Accounting Science degree and is a Chartered Accountant (SA).
