Colombia offers investment opportunities
in electric mobility
Electric vehicle assembly to meet local demand and export
to the region.
In 2019, 6,011 electric vehicles and 2,163 electric motorcycles
were sold, making Colombia one of the leading countries in
the region in terms of electric mobility.
Colombia has an Electric Mobility Strategy, with which it hopes
to have 600,000 electric vehicles rolling in the country by 2030.
Tariff and VAT benefits promote the purchase of vehicles in
the country.
Some subsectors of opportunity are:
• Electric buses
• Electric bikes and motorcycles
• Loading equipment
• Spare parts for electric vehicles
• Charging infrastructure
