JAZZERCISE LINLITHGOW - FITNESS AND FUN!!
It’s hard to believe that we have
been Jazzercising in Linlithgow
for one whole year now - and we’re going from strength to strength, quite literally!! My name is Karen Maclennan and I am your local Jazzercise Instructor. I took my first Jazzercise class in 2002, in Banchory, Aberdeenshire. I was introduced
by a friend, 4 months pregnant at the time with my second child, very uncoordinated and probably very unfit. From that first class I was hooked! The music, the moves, and the welcoming community vibe,.... no one seemed to mind if I went the
wrong way or made a wrong move
- accidental solos we call them – everyone was just having the best time. Fast forward 2 years, I trained as an instructor and have been teaching Jazzercise ever since.
I moved from Aberdeenshire to Linlithgow in November 2020 during the pandemic. In late August 2021, when restrictions were lifted and I was allowed to teach in-person classes again, I started Jazzercise Linlithgow. Over the last
year we have created a great community of local people, all ages and fitness
levels from teenagers and students to mums and retired ladies. My customers always inspire me with their dedication and commitment to fitness and to one another, so many new friendships have been formed. As we know, exercise is so much more than just “getting fit”. Many of my customers comment on how they have made new friends, have widened their social circle, have improved their coordination and flexibility, as well as their mental health and wellbeing, by having a little “me-time” to get out of the house, dance, get stronger and feel better about themselves overall.
Jazzercise is a franchise from the US and has been going strong since 1969. A dance party workout that fuses
cardio, resistance training, Pilates, yoga, kickboxing in one 55-minute session, you can expect to burn up to 800 calories while having the most fun ever! With constantly changing moves, new music, a variety of workouts and calorie- crushing intensity, customers can expect to feel results after three classes and expect to stick with it. Our Lo-impact offering means that we appeal to all ages and levels of fitness, from beginners
and those who’ve never taken a class before to fitness enthusiasts who want to try something new – Jazzercise is a challenging and fun workout.
Jazzercise Linlithgow runs 5 classes
a week at Queen Margaret Hall and Longcroft Hall. We offer morning
and evening classes with high-impact and low-impact moves suitable for all levels of fitness. Why not come along, join the dance party and start your fitness journey with Jazzercise today?!
