I: Yeah, you’re probably right but it was always going to happen. He’s well-liked by the players and is a good coach but he didn’t have the managerial experience and tactical knowhow to take us higher.
G: Most fascinating. Were any of the new players a success this season?
I: Personally, I liked Malbranque, Tainio and Ferdinand, but he’s got a way to go, while I think Davenport is definitely worth keeping. Healy should be sold and I’d sell Chopra and Gordon too.
G: Yeah, we just saw Davenport’s great run down the right and cross for Kenwyne to score against Pompey. That was well dangerous, man. But what about Kenwyne? Has he been a disappointment this season?
I: Well, he was injured and didn’t start till late October so he didn’t do bad really to get twelve goals. He didn’t seem to be trying for quite a few games in 2009 and also the defenders have sussed him out now but he started coming good again in the last few matches.
G We enjoy his goal celebrations very much but they are difficult for we dodekapods to copy.
I: Have a few ciders first, Garvon man, and you should be all right.
G: What about the new manager? Who do you fancy? 145
