different and I think we'll acquit ourselves well. I wasn't able to get a ticket for the game but was out with a couple of friends from home last might who will be there and I'm meeting them afterwards whatever the day brings. I've heard no team-news yet but surely Brown will be back and it looks like Fletcher will play some part while I hope Catts will be there to give us some midfield bite. Aguero will return but whoever plays for them will be top class, with the exception of Demichelis. I hope he plays. Manchester City have got a lot to lose so let them worry about it and they know we're their bogey team. My head says we'll get beat but my heart is definitely going for a win so my prediction, with extra-time a real possibility, is 2-1 with Borini scoring. Sunderland expects every man will do his duty. I'm off to watch the match in a pub and I'm buzzing.
The Match
I got to the Globe opposite Baker Street Station about fifteen minutes before kick-off and the place was heaving with our fans, with not a Man City fan in sight. It was plastic glasses only but they hadn't put the prices up. Borini was playing upfront with Fletch on the bench and Altidore nowhere to be seen. I was pleased to see Catts in there as well as Colback. City dominated the first ten minutes, winning a couple of corners and forcing Mannone into a good save but then we took the lead through a great goal. O'Shea was fed down the right and he passed it along to Borini who outmuscled Kompany and hit a great shot right into the left
