THE VOICE OF TRAVEL IN SCOTLAND
New initiative announced by SPAA
Julian Stark of Kenneth Macleod Travel is heading up a new panel on behalf of the SPAA. It will discuss the things that really matter to frontline Travel Agents and feed back to the SPAA Council its thoughts and ideas.
Julian is very fortunate to have most of the Winners of the SPAA 2022 Sparkle Awards plus a few other leading Agents on the panel and it plans to meet remotely four times a year.
The panel members cover all sections of Travel Agency work, both office and home-based, both Leisure and Corporate.
At the first meeting on 24th January, 2023, the aims of the group were discussed and several good ideas came up forming good starting points for the next meeting.
The main topics included:
• Social Media (promotion of the SPAA, its aims and benefits for members)
• Education and Recruitment (especially for younger people starting their career in Travel)
• Increasing membership of the SPAA to every Agent in Scotland
• Creating a Social Media discussion platform just for Scottish travel agent members of the SPAA
