TEESSIDE AIRPORT HOSTS TRAVEL TRADE AT VIP EVENT
Teesside Airport welcomed 70 agents and suppliers for its first event for the travel trade in two years.
Agents were given a VIP tour of the airport’s refreshed facilities, including the new check-in area and the recently opened Skybar.
Phil Forster, Managing Director of Teesside Airport, said: “It’s been great to welcome so many of our local travel agents to the airport to showcase our improved facilities and thank them for their support. We’re helping them
to spread the message that we’re back on the map far and wide, not just across the Tees Valley but in cities like Sunderland so everyone knows how quick, easy and convenient using Teesside is.
“We are already planning our next event later this year and looking at new ways in which we can work with our local agents who are key to our airport’s success. I urge any agents who have not visited Teesside Airport for some time to reach out to our travel agent support team, who will be happy to showcase our airport.”

 Hello!
Our latest campaign is in full swing, focusing on how your customers can explore the world with our hand-crafted itineraries from as little as £399 per person on selected 2022 and 2023 sailings. We also know many of you have solo customers, so we’re pleased to share we have no single supplement offers on several sailings. You can find all the campaign details, promotional assets and video at our Travel Agent Centre.
We are also delighted to be able to offer you and your colleagues the opportunity to experience ‘The Olsen Way’ for a day this summer as part of our trade ship visit programme, with dates still available in Rosyth in August. Talking of experiencing The Olsen Way in person, we were delighted to host Linda Thompson of Connoisseur Travel, Edinburgh, on our Whales, Waterfalls & Geysers of Iceland VIP educational last month
on board Borealis. Linda says: “With lots of repeat clients who cruise 3 or 4 times a year it was wonderful to experience the new ship Borealis for
myself. The itinerary
really brought The
Olsen Way alive,
from the on board
service to the shore
experiences. I am
looking forward to
sharing it all with our
lovely clients!”
To read all about the group’s experiences, see their photos and videos take a look at our trade FB group; Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines – Trade Team.
Having you, our valued trade partners, experience our way
of cruising is one of the best ways to understand ‘The Olsen Way’ and how it can help you in your businesses. I am so looking forward to hosting an educational on board Balmoral in September to experience some French river cruising – and we still have some spaces available!
Bye for now!
