Supporter news 47This event follows an incredible collection at Elizabeth%u2019s funeral in 2023, where the Gayler family raised over %u00a31,000 for Glaucoma UK, demonstrating their ongoing commitment to our cause. We are grateful for their dedication to helping to fund research, support for those living with glaucoma and raising awareness, knowing that their kindness will have a direct impact on those affected by glaucoma.Erica hosted the afternoon tea to introduce Elizabeth%u2019s friends and neighbours to her granddaughter, Elsie Elizabeth Gayler, named in honour of her great-grandmother. Family and friends gathered in Erica%u2019s Garden, enjoying delicious homemade cakes as five-monthold Elsie charmed everyone with her joyful smiles. The event beautifully blended memories of Elizabeth with hope for the future, bridging generations in a way Elizabeth would have cherished.We were pleased to hear the Gayler family were able to hold such a heart-warming event in honour of Elizabeth, and we were so grateful for the donations they raised.
