again be celebrating a significant milestone in our journey towards the recovery of the local tourism industry.
“Reaching 􏰃􏰂􏰃􏰄 figures in only 􏰅 months, is an achievement that would not have been possible without the collaborative effort of the government and private sector. We are keeping our eyes on making yet another hit in our 2022 arrival numbers,” said Mrs Willemin.
As in previous years, Europe remains the main market source, which accounts for 73.83 per cent of all arrivals.
TIPTO and some of its tour operator members rec presented a cheque for £3,223 from its roadshow events to charity partner, Reuben’s Retreat.
TIPTO holds a ‘Charity Prize Raffle’ at each roadshow whe agents can purchase raffle tickets to be in with a chance winning a prize at the end of each event.

  Where’s William?
Summer is finally here and the warm weather has been taking me back to my last visit to the beautiful Douro in Portugal, on board Emerald Cruises’ innovative Star-Ship, Emerald Radiance.
I was lucky enough to be on board for the Secrets of the Douro 􏰀-day river cruise while we were filming ‘Cruising with Jane McDonald’ – and of course, I had to get a photo!
The Douro river is stunning. It makes for an incredibly relaxing river cruise through beautiful scenery and outstanding vistas, with vineyards scattered along the riverbanks where famous Port wine grapes are grown.
Along the journey, you can enjoy several excursions, including visiting Lamego, Salamanca in Spain and Mateus - the home of its famous Rose wine. Emerald Radiance stays in dock overnight in many of the ports to really make the most of the time spent there.
I also have to mention the impressive architecture -
I have sailed many of Europe’s rivers and the locks along the Douro are an engineering wonder, also the bridges are some of the most beautiful I’ve seen.
We currently have some incredible offers available on Emerald Cruises’ Douro river cruises for both Scenic
and Emerald Cruises. In our Summer Savings Event on European river cruises departing before 30th June 2023, the second guest sails free!
Offer ends 􏰁􏰂th August 􏰃􏰂􏰃􏰃. Find out more at scenic.co.uk or emeraldcruises.co.uk
