Celestyal Crystal may be a small to medium sized ship, but punches way above its weight.
This was a genuine Greek cruising experience with a warm and friendly atmosphere on board. The crew were not only professional, but
also genuinely happy, passionately hospitable and it was infectious.
On board dining is either in the buffet or one of the two main restaurants as well as a speciality restaurant, Aura. Here the chefs come out to talk to the guests, asking what they think of the food and offering tasters of all sorts of amazing cuisine they were trying out in the kitchen. Food was plentiful, tasty and there were always some fabulous Greek themed menus to try.

hot day really enjoyable with his knowledge and humour. We also visited Thessaloniki, Heraklion, Athens and Milos, each with their own charm.

They are on hand to offer advice on where to get public transport, arrange taxis and tell you where the best beaches and restaurants are. On most islands there are frequent and cheap public buses (around one euro) from the port to local sites. Going from Fira to Oia
on Santorini to marvel at the world famous site of the sun setting below the blue domes is a must and Celestyal plans the cruise to ensure you are on Santorini into the early hours so you don’t miss this opportunity.
Another stand out island is Mykonos
– the ‘go to’ island of the rich and famous. You are in port from 08:00 to 02:00 so clients can enjoy the beaches by day and party vibes by night!
