FOR WHAT IN MONTANA?
Closing costs may be confusing. Let’s
break it down by buyer and seller cost.
THE SELLER TYPICALLY
PAYS FOR:
ظ Title Insurance premium for
owner’s policy
ظ Real estate commission
ظ Real Estate excise tax, if any
ظ Any city transfer/conveyance tax
ظ Document preparation (if applicable)
ظ Documentary transfer tax, if any
ظ Payoff of all loans in seller’s name
ظ Interest accrued to lender being paid off
ظ Statement fees, reconveyance fees
and any prepayment penalties
ظ Any judgments, tax liens, etc. against
the seller
ظ Tax proration
ظ Any unpaid homeowner’s dues
ظ Recording charges to clear all
documents of record against seller
ظ Any bonds or assessments
ظ Any and all delinquent taxes
ظ Mobile Notary fees, if any
ظ Homeowner’s transfer fees
