Narrative: The Time of Trouble

And the Jews’ Passover was nigh at hand: And many went out of the country up to Jerusalem
before the passover, to purify themselves. Then sought they for Jesus, and spake among themselves, as
they stood in the temple, What think ye, that he will not come to the feast? Now both the chief priests
and the Pharisees had given a commandment, that, if any man knew where he were, he should shew it,
that they might take him.
And Jesus sat over against the treasury, and he looked up, and beheld how the people cast
money into the treasury: And saw the rich men casting their gifts into the treasury. And many that were
rich cast in much. And he saw also there came a certain poor widow, and she threw in thither two mites,
which make a farthing. And he called unto him his disciples, and saith unto them,
“Verily Of a truth I say unto you, that this poor widow hath cast in more than all they which
have cast into the treasury: For all of these have of their abundance cast in unto the offerings of God,
but she of her penury did cast in all that she had, even all her living.”
And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: And as some spake of the temple, how it
was adorned with goodly stones and gifts, his disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of
the temple. And as he went out of the temple, one of his disciples saith unto him,
“Master, see what manner of stones and what buildings are here!”
And Jesus answering said unto him,
