Narrative: Galilee of the Nations
And immediately when Jesus perceived in his spirit knowing their thoughts he answering said
unto them,
“Wherefore reason ye evil in your hearts? For whether is it easier to say to the sick of the
palsy, ‘Thy sins be forgiven thee;’ or to say, ‘Arise and take up thy bed, and walk?’ But that ye may
know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (he saith to the sick of the palsy,)
“I say unto thee, ‘Arise and take up thy bed, and go thine way into thine house.”
And immediately he rose up before them, and took up the bed, whereon he lay, and went
forth before them all; and departed to his own house, glorifying God. But when the multitudes saw it,
insomuch that they were all amazed, marvelled, and glorified God, which had given such power unto
men. And were filled with fear, saying,
“We have seen strange things today.”
“We never saw it on this fashion.”
And he went forth again by the seaside; and all the multitude resorted unto him, and he taught
