Ratan P Watal appointed as principal adviser for social sector in NITI

Aayog

Former Finance Secretary Ratan P Watal has been appointed as Principle Adviser for social sector
in NITI Aayog. He has been appointed to the post for three years. His appointment comes after
his two-month extended tenure as Finance Secretary ended in April 2016. He was to retire in
Ratan P Watal February 2016, but got a two-month extension.
Mr. Watal is a retired IAS officer of Andhra Pradesh cadre of a 1978-batch. He had served as Finance Secretary between
August 2015 and April 2016.

Kishore Biyani appointed MD of Bharti Retail Kishore Biyani

Future Group's Chief Executive Kishore Biyani has been appointed managing director of Bharti Retail
as part of the reconstitution of the board following their merger pact announced last year.
Besides, Rakesh Biyani, who is also a director at Future Group, has also been appointed as Joint
Managing Director of Bharti Retail, which will be later renamed as Future Retail Ltd and listed on
stock exchanges.

Godrej appoints Avani Davda as MD of Godrej Nature's Basket

Godrej Industries Limited has appointed Avani Davda as the Managing Director for its gourmet
retail business, Godrej Nature's Basket. Avani will take over as the MD of Godrej Nature's Basket
from Mohit Khattar, who moves into a new group level role.

Avani Davda in her last assignment was the Chief Executive Officer of Tata Starbucks Private
Avani Davda Limited. She comes with the rich experience of working across consumer facing sectors of the Tata
Group viz. Tata Global Beverages, Taj Hotels, Infiniti Retail, Tata Housing and Tata Infrastructure & Realty.

Ranga Pothula is HYSEA's new president

Ranga Pothula of Infor has been elected as the new President of HYSEA for 2016-18 at the 24th
Annual General Body meeting of the association. He takes over this responsibility from Ramesh
Loganathan, VP & Managing Director of Progress Software.

Ranga Pothula carries 27 years of industry experience. Prior to Infor, he worked with Tata Consulting
Engineers, CPRI, and supported many electrical industries as a consultant.

Jabong appoints Rahul Taneja as Chief Business Officer

Fashion portal, Jabong, has announced the appointment of Rahul Taneja as the company's Chief
Business Officer. He will report directly to the CEO, Sanjeev Mohanty and will be responsible for
overseeing Category management, pricing, creative campaigns and offline / brand marketing.

Rahul Taneja An alumnus of Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore (IIMB), Rahul comes with over 14 years
of experience in accelerating teams & businesses at Fortune 500 organizations such as Procter &
Gamble, PepsiCo and Philips.

He has led sales and profit growth across large brands such as Lay's India, and has ramped up small businesses such
as Home Lighting India and Rang7.com.
