United Bank of India launches 'Bank on Wheels'

United Bank of India, a leading Public Sector Bank headquartered in Kolkata, West Bengal, launches 'United Bank on
Wheels' on 21st November 2016. It is like a mobile
branch with an ATM, a Bank Mitra for cash
deposits/withdrawals and opening new Bank
Account and a security guard. A vehicle will carry
the micro ATM, Bank Mitra and will be stationed
at specific locations for fixed hours especially in
rural areas, tea gardens & other plantations and
other unorganized sectors.
The 'United Bank on Wheels' service was flagged
off by Hon'ble Managing Director & CEO of the
Bank Shri Pawan Bajaj today in the presence of
senior executives of the Bank. Speaking on the
occasion, Shri Bajaj said, 'The Bank has started
this initiative to alleviate the hardship faced by the
public, especially in rural areas where people have
limited access to Bank. We are constantly working
towards maximizing customer convenience and all the Bank's ATMs are being monitored and replenished with cash to
ensure 24x7 cash availability.' He also added that the Bank staff were operating well past their normal office hours to
cater to the rush and minimizing inconvenience to the extent possible and around 6869 Banking Correspondents of the
Bank as well as sponsored Region Rural Banks have been made operational in Rural & Semi urban areas for cash deposits/
withdrawals.
Shri K.V. Rama Moorthy, Executive Director, said, 'The Bank has taken several steps to assist general public and customers
and this service will bring the Bank to the customers door-step. The secure and easy digital banking products of the Bank
is available 24x7 for cash less banking and people are moving to our digital products'.

Swachhta Pakhwada - SBBJ cleans the school and roads
Managing Director Shri Dibakar Mohanty and staff of State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur has undertaken Swachhta Shramdaan
in the premises of Government Secondary
School Residency, Sardar Patel Marg, Jaipur on
24.11.2016. All the Bank's staff have cleaned
School Premises and outside roads as well. As
planned by the Government of India, Ministry
of finance SBBJ is celebrating Swachhta
Pakhwada from 15th November, 2016 to 29th
November, 2016. MD, SBBJ appealed to the
School students and teachers to take massive
part in Swachhta Abhiyaan. On this occasion,
the Bank donated Water purifier for school. In
this event, the Bank's CGM (RB) Sh. S.
Harishankar, GMs, DGMs and staff members
took part. Thereafter DGM (GA) Sh. Rajesh
Arya administered the Swachhta Pledge and
also motivated the students and teachers for
keeping the school and surroundings neat & clean.
