include the liability premium and 30% of the OD
premium to cover theft. Coverage of liability and
Fire & theft will result in 50% discount on OD
premium.
7. Fire and/or theft only:
Coverage for these restricted perils is permitted only
if the vehicle is laid-up and not in use; other than
due to accident. The premium chargeable for both
perils would be around 0.75% of IDV. A single
peril would be charged at 0.50% of IDV.
Caution is advised in issuing such policy. The
customer may be advised to obtain a "Not in use"
endorsement from the RTA on the RC book before
such policy is offered.
Q. 14. Advise an insured the right action in case of a
"Lost, Destroyed or Mutilated Certificate."
Ans: Where the insured person declares that a Certificate
of Insurance issued to him has been lost, destroyed
or mutilate and sets out full particulars of the
circumstances connected with the loss or destruction
of the Certificate and the efforts made to find it; or
returns to the Insurer the Certificate of Insurance
issued to him by such Insurer in a defaced or
