Section 14 specifies the duties, powers and functions of the
IRDA.
In terms of Section 114A, of the Insurance Act 1938 the
Authority may, by notification in the Official Gazette, make
regulations consistent with this Act and the rules made there
under, to carry out the purposes of this Act
The IRDA has framed the following regulations touching
various aspects of life insurance:
✓ Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority
(Insurance Advertisements And Disclosure) Regulations, 2000
✓ Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority
(Licensing of Insurance Agents) Regulations, 2000
✓ Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority
