At the outset, we are proud to acknowledge our authors’ efforts, all leading professionals and academicians
in their specific domains. Coming from different parts of the world, the authors presented a worldwide
view, fulfilling our aspiration to ‘Transforming Indian Insurance’ for a secured and protected India. We
dream of a resilient India with insurance playing a pivotal role in ensuring everyone can deal with
catastrophic expenses without financial ruin. We dream of a society where no one is pushed below the
poverty line or in a debt trap in the absence of financial cushioning. In this endeavour, with its risk
mitigating tools, insurance is the torchbearer and significantly contributes to financial inclusion,
guaranteeing an inclusive, cohesive and vibrant society.

We express our heartfelt gratitude to Shri Harivansh, the Hon’ble Deputy Chairman, Rajya Sabha, for
