Dear Friends,
On 9th February 2023, we celebrate our 14th Foundation Day. This is a special day when the entire SUD family has
a chance to reflect not only on the beginnings and its founders, but also on the significant development since the
company's inception. Our successful and sustained journey of 14 years would not have been possible without the
sincere contribution of our task force – our colleagues, our esteemed customers, our vendors and all those who
have supported us directly or indirectly.
I would not like to miss this opportunity of showing my heartfelt gratitude towards all who have made this happen.

It is a day set aside to honour our past and reflect on and reaffirm the ongoing journey we have taken up to this
point. We also celebrate the progressive and strong team and wonderful facilities. You embraced high aspirations
and a great value system, and I am proud that you have proved that a plausible impossibility is better than a
convincing possibility.
As we turn 14, SUD Life is a shining example of a high growth high potential unit leading the growth story of the
Indian Life Insurance industry. We accomplished ~35% YOY growth (NB APE) and our aspiration is to nearly double
the company size every couple of years. Our consistent growth is a testimony to the fact that what we achieved in
our 13th year was not fortuitous, but a sustained and well computed execution of clearly measured strategies. We
have taken a lot of efforts in the past few months to instil a superlative Service Culture attitude. I eagerly anticipate
the day when we will be recognised as a service-centric insurance company and will be a preferred insurer of
choice for the differentiated quality of our service delivery.
We have made investments in upgrading our technology infrastructure to meet the demands of the dynamic
business environment. With a strong Strategic Plan, we are prepared for the future, but we also need to assess the
external environment. Domestic and Global economy continues to be in rough weather with global slowdown
driven by the war and catastrophes. As an integral part of this global eco-system, we are expected to feel the
pressure too, but I am optimistic about our future and as the economy starts growing faster, we must stay
prepared to proactively seize the opportunities. It is time for us to collaborate, to innovate and leverage our
strengths to be amongst the market leaders.
We are on track to make this our biggest ever February (foundation month) and by the time, we end the financial
year, this will easily be our biggest year ever. With such business numbers and growth, we would have set our
benchmark extremely high for 2023-24.
We are proud recipients of a few awards this year which have reemphasized our commitment towards holistic
growth. The Great Place to Work (GPTW®) recertification is a testimony to establish and uphold a high-trust,
high-performance culture. The Best CSR initiative ‘Project Dharti’ by Banking Frontiers and the coveted Golden
Peacock Award for HR excellence are some of the top honors to showcase our commitment to fostering a culture
of compassion, openness, and trust that inspires and empowers each of us to attain professional achievements.
Friends, I can go on and on, but what is important is to remember that we have bigger challenges and rewards
ahead of us. We all must remember that Empathy, Collaboration, Humility and Ownership will carry us to great
success that we all want to achieve.
