limbs or sight and permanent total disablement arising
out of accidental injuries shall be increased by 5% after
each completed claim free year, provided the policy is
in force, prior to the occurrence of the accident.
The increase however can not exceed 50% of the
capital sum insured. The earned cumulative bonus is
not loss if the policy is renewed within 30 days of its
expiry. This increased sum insured however decreases
by 10% when a claim covers, but can never go below
the original sum insured.
In mediclaim too, the sum insured is increased by
5% for each claim free year of insurance subject to
a maximum accumulation of 10 years or 50%. Here
also, in the event of a claim the increase percentage
is reduced by 10% of the sum insured at the next
removal but cannot go below the basic sum insured.
