STUDENT ACADEMIC INTEGRITY

Washington American High School Programs provide students the
opportunity to become engaged in an intensive program of study in all
subjects. The programs are designed to challenge and motivate
students while developing their critical thinking skills through discovery
and exploration.
⊲ The mission of WAHS is to unlock the dream of obtaining an American
High School diploma to every student willing to do the work.
WAHS academic culture fosters student integrity both in and out of the
Online classroom.
⊲ Online academic assignments exist to help students learn; grades
exist to show how fully this goal is attained. Therefore all work and all
grades should result from the student's own understanding and effort.
It takes only a minute to destroy a reputation of integrity. Students
must understand the importance of integrity both personally and
professionally.

Online assignments are subject to
exactly the same standards of
integrity that apply in regular
classroom assignments.
Unless specifically permitted by the
instructor, it is cheating to copy from
others or from outside sources on
any Online quiz, homework, or test.
In a world where one scandal
emerges after another, a
reputation is priceless. It takes only a minute to destroy a reputation
of integrity both personally and professionally.
