  Frank Edelblut – Commissioner – NH Department of Education
Frank Edelblut was sworn in as Commissioner on February 16, 2017. In his role as commissioner he serves on a number of boards, including as a trustee for the University System of New Hampshire; as an ex-officio trustee for the Community College System of NH; a member of New Hampshire Higher Education Commission; and a member of the National Assessment Governing board among many others. He is a businessman who continues to be an active as an investor in early stage companies across a range of industries including technology, med-tech and even a wine company. He was a Republican member of the New Hampshire House of Representatives and attended the University of Rhode Island where he earned a Bachelor of Science, Business Administration – Accounting. He also holds a Master of Theological Studies from the Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology.
Allen Kropp – Attorney – Drummond Woodsum, Portsmouth, NH
Allen Kropp is a member of the School & Education, Higher Education, and Labor and Employment Practice Groups. He specializes in civil rights and disability law and works extensively with schools and post-secondary institutions on a wide range of civil rights matters, including disability issues under Section 04 and the Americans with Disabilities Act, gender discrimination issues under Title Ix, race/color/national origin matters under Title VI of the Civil Rights Act. He works with public and independent school districts, and with colleges and universities nationwide, on a host of discrimination issues through policy development and assessment; audits of civil right compliance; trainings; mediations; school and university- based investigations. Previously Allen served several roles with the United States Department of Education, including Deputy Chief Attorney and Interim Director of the Office for Civil rights regional office in Boston, and has extensive expertise in civil rights compliance, program administration, and educating schools, colleges, students, parents and other
   stakeholders on civil rights matters.
