Viktoria Marinova is the administrative director of the Ruse television TVN. Shortly before her death, the television began

broadcasting a program with a social theme called "Detector". The first episode of the show broadcasts an interview with

Dimitar Stoyanov, an investigative journalist from Bivol, and his Romanian colleague Atila Biro, who are arrested by the

Ministry of Internal Affairs while working on their investigation into the so-called #GPGate affair. The scandal surrounding

the affair revolves around companies, who drain European funds and have connections with Bulgarian politicians. The

second episode of the show was going to investigate the incident in Hitrino, where #GPGate is said to be involved with a

suspiciously won public contract.
