COWORKING IN NORTH,
SOUTH, CENTRAL ITALY
Coworking spaces are distributed fairly evenly in the centre, south and
islands and north-east, while the north-west attracts the largest share.
The Lombardy region holds the record for the attractiveness of
coworking spaces; Lazio and Tuscany follow. About 51% of coworking
spaces are located in metropolitan cities. Milan is the Italian city that
hosts the largest number of coworking spaces; Rome follows it.
The metropolitan cities of Turin, Florence, Bologna and Naples are more
detached. However, coworking spaces are also
located in medium-small cities and in less
central areas. They can also be a good tool
to foster entrepreneurship in
disadvantaged areas.
