Lesson Plan: Coworking Glossary
Subject: Business Studies/ High School
Lesson Objectives:
Introduce students to the concept of coworking and its significance in modern work
environments.
Familiarize students with key terms and definitions related to coworking.
Encourage students to explore the benefits and challenges of coworking for
entrepreneurs and freelancers.
Enhance students' understanding of the coworking culture and community.
Learning Outcomes: By the end of this lesson, students will be able to:
Define coworking and explain its importance in contemporary work settings.
Identify and explain at least 10 terms from the Coworking Glossary.
Analyze the advantages and disadvantages of coworking for independent
professionals.
Demonstrate an understanding of the coworking culture and its impact on networking
and collaboration.
Procedure:
Introduction (10 minutes):
Begin the lesson by asking students if they have heard about coworking and what
they understand by the term.
Present the lesson objectives and explain the importance of coworking in the
evolving job market and entrepreneurial landscape.
Activity 1: Coworking Glossary Definitions (20 minutes):
Provide students with a printed or digital copy of the Coworking Glossary containing
the 40 terms and their definitions.
Divide the class into small groups and assign each group a set of terms from the
glossary.
Instruct each group to read and discuss the definitions, clarifying any doubts or
questions they may have.
Ask each group to present their assigned terms to the class, explaining the meaning
and relevance of each term.
