Terror gripped the entire city.

"Save us, King" the people called,

"Our future won't be pretty

if he gobbles up us all!"

"Daddy King! Rather than sob

send trumpeters around the land.

Proclaim that who kills the Dragon

will win your daughter's hand!"

At her command a hundred knights

in their cosy beds woke up,

and jumped on a hundred horses

yelling loudly, "Giddy-up!"
