cooperation with the Manggha Museum

                      of Japanese Art and Technology

Not far from our School, about 500 meters, on the other side of the

main street, on the Vistula River, opposite the Wawel Castle, the

Manggha Museum of Japanese Art and Technology has its

 headquarters.

It was established on the initiative of prominent Polish director Andrzej

Wajda and opened in 1994 as the Manggha Center for Japanese Art and

Technology. For the first ten years of its existence, it was a branch of

the National Museum in Cracow, while also being the site of active

activities of the Andrzej Wajda and Krystyna Zachwatowicz Kyoto-

 Cracow Foundation.

In 2005, made independent by a decision of the Minister of Culture, it

received the status of a state cultural institution, and since 2007 it has

 operated as a museum.
