Reading can be employed to
promote a child’s brain
development. Before a child
starts to recognize letters, you
can initiate them into reading
and recognition of words.
Repetition of words and viewing
pictures can connect the two in
the mind of a child. Repetition of
the same books can build a
connection between the words
you speak and the images on the
books given to the child. As a
child grows, ask him/her to
identify some things within the
environment, in the child's book.
