Negrete noted that he found out early on that Cat Daddys Lil Girl had plenty of com- petitive fire.
“She’s always had a personality,” Negrete said. “Here at the house when we were raising her, we were filling the water bucket and she would pull out the water hose and walk off. When she was just a few hours old—I’d never seen a baby do this—she pinned her ears
back and chased my son out of the stall. We thought, ‘Man, this horse might be something.’ Just a few hours old, and she chased him out
of the stall. It wasn’t the fact that he was afraid of her. It was that she did it when she was so young that surprised him.”
Gonzalez also conditions runner-up Woodys Copy Cat (Woodbridge-Fast Copy Miss). The winner of the New Mexico Classic Futurity-G1 in 2018, the gelding is owned
by Enrique Barrera and had jockey Manuel Gutierrez aboard.
DJs Winner (Winners Version-Salt N Sea) finished in third place for Double Eagle Ranch. The Toby Keeton trainee had Noe Garcia Jr. in the irons.
Sister Sophia (Big Daddy Cartel-Ella Sophia), Chicks Baby Suds (Jess A Chicks- Hot Babe Indy Suds), Hollywoodcrown (Heza Motor Scooter-Hollywood Gone TB), Zee James (Jesse James Jr-On A Bunny), Tooflashforyou (First Moonflash-Holland Fire), First N Forever (First Moonflash-Eye Am Forever Yours) and Addy Ann Angel (Sixes Royal-Angelina Fame) completed the order of finish.
