King Glo, by King P-234, sired three of the first four NCHA Open Futurity Champions. He is shown above with the J. O. Hankins family on the day he earned the Grand Champion Stallion title at the Dallas State Fair.
races he competed in, including the 1960 All American Futurity-G1. Hanka was out of Hi Baby by King P-234. This makes Hanka 2 X 2 inbred to King P-234.
Squaw H, foaled in 1941, is by King P-234 and out of Queen H. Squaw H is a stakes winner in the Tucson Speed Stakes. She officially has a race record of seven wins in 19 starts with eight seconds and two thirds. A review conducted in 2009 shows that she had 38 starts with 15 wins.
Her unofficial race record includes
her race in 1947 at the Kerrville Racing Association, which is an unsanctioned
meet in the AQHA and AQRA. She won the Guadalupe Cup during this meet and unofficially broke the World Record for 220 yards going the distance in 11.9 seconds.
Squaw H produced eight foals with
only three of them going to the racetrack including two ROM. The first foal produced was Squaw String, by Piggin String, who earned a ROM as a AA rated runner. This mare was the dam of only two starters and neither of them earned an ROM.
Squaw Fly is an unraced daughter of Squaw H that was sired by Diamond Bob. She is the dam of Fly Away Faila, the stakes winner we discussed when looking at Diamond Bob. This gives us a pedigree influenced by the Hankins Brothers Lowell and J. O.
Miss Squaw Bars by Three Bars was another unraced daughter of Squaw H. This mare is
the dam of Good Bird Bars by Good Bird TB. Good Bird Bars won the Sunland Park Stakes and was finalist in Easy Jet’s All American Futurity-G1 victory in 1969. Good Bird Bars was the sire of 27 racing ROM with four stakes
l
out of Queen H. Squaw H has an official race record of 38 starts with 15 wins. She covered 220 yards in a New World Record time of: 11.9 at an unsanctioned meet, which made the record unofficial.
