A look at the pedigree of Sweet Daddy will reaffirm Fakri as someone interested in racehorse pedigrees. Sweet Daddy was sired by Tiger Rocket by Rocket Bar and the dam of Tiger Rocket was May Moon by Moon Deck and May Moon was out of Caprica by Nassak. May Moon was a 3/4-sister to Top Moon, who was sired by Moon Deck and out of Rica Bar, who was out of Caprica. Vandy’s Katsy, the dam of Sweet Daddy, was sired by the World Champion sire Vandy and out of Betty Dee Garret by Leo.
By 1986 Fakri had established his Rancho das Americas where he stood the stallions Pivot Point by Easy Jet, Tokanon by Azure Te, and Beduinos Bomber by Beduino. Pivot Point was a four-time stakes winner including three futurities in 1978
- the Spring Fever Futurity, Magic Valley Futurity and Boise Futurity. Then he won the 1979 Spring Fever Derby. He had 21 starts with 13 wins, two seconds, two thirds and earnings of $34,574.
It was about this time that Fakri became associated with Vessels Stallion Farm, establishing a long-time relationship that would prove very successful for him and his
breeding of good racehorses. He brought
the Vessels’ bred Timeto Thinkrich, an All American Futurity winner and three-time AQHA Champion racehorse, to Brazil. Then in 1994, he brought the Vessels’ stallion Tolltac, another three-time Champion to Brazil. Tolltac sired the successful racehorses Dinastia Toll BRZ (one of our subject
