   Tempting Dash Dies
2009 Champion Two-Year-Old Colt Tempt- ing Dash (First Down Dash-A Tempting Chick, Chicks Beduino) died May 5 from an inoperable diaphragmatic hernia. The stallion only raced as a two-year-old with a perfect 4-for-4 race record and earnings of $673,970 with wins in the Texas Classic Futurity-G1 and Dash For Cash Futurity-G1. He also
set two New Track Records for 400-yards at Lone Star Park. Tempting Dash is the sire
of over $13.1 million and $27,568 average earnings per starter with 34 stakes winners, including 2-time Champion Kiss My Hocks ($1,199,385). He is also the sire of 2022 Decketta Stakes-G2 winner A Dash Of Sign, who also won the 2021 Southern Califor- nia Derby-G2. Tempting Dash is owned by Tempting Dash Syndicate and was standing at Granada Farms with a full book for 2022. “A once-in-a lifetime kind of horse. That was Tempting Dash,” said Jimmy Eller of Grana- da Farms. “I am saddened by the loss of this great stallion in the prime of his life. The shock of his untimely passing will not only be felt by the syndicate members, but by the entire industry. He will be greatly missed.”
