to the textbook, but I have found that can be very common when we look at genetics.
Another potential reason for the physical variation in these foals might have to do with the fact that the sire and dam didn’t show a lot of inbreeding or linebreeding
in their pedigrees as it was noted in the pedigree review. The only common ancestor in the Favorite Cartel/Remember Me Rose cross is the 3x2 breeding pattern to Corona Cartel. That gives a greater variation in gene combinations that determine the phenotype or physical features of the foal. But the
cross still maintained the speed needed for successful racing.
The rest of the foals from this cross are these 2020 foals: Cyber Attack (colt), with Fragrant Rose (filly), So So Beautiful (filly), Reminder (filly) and Temple Court (filly) which will be heading to the track in 2022. It could be another very interesting year for Remember Me Rose and her upcoming foals by Favorite Cartel.
Cyber Monday won the 2020 Ruidoso Futurity-G1 and then finished fourth in the Rainbow Futurity-G1. He won his trial of the All American Futurity but didn’t qualify. He came back at three to be a finalist in the Rainbow Derby Invitational after winning his trial.
Go To Girl is the only filly in this group. She won her stakes race in the 2021 Chiquitas Stakes as well as finishing as a finalist in PCQHRA Breeders’ Derby-G2 and the Town Policy Stakes. She has
made the finals of five stakes so far in 2022, including a second in the Denim N Diamonds Handicap. She has had 20 starts with four wins earning $47,249.
Bomb Cyclone made five starts in 2021 with three wins and a second. His big win was in the Los Alamitos Two Million Futurity-G1. He was second in his Rainbow Futurity trial and fifth in his All American Futurity trial back in July and August. He won the his trial and the
finals of the Two Million in November. He earned $853,887.
The other foals from this cross included the stakes placed runner The Revenant, who was third in the 2017 Governor’s
Cup Futurity-G2, 2017 PCQHRA Breeders’ Futurity-G2 and 2018 Jens List Jr Memorial California Breeders’ Stakes. He earned $192,700 and made the finals in five more stakes races. Another filly from this cross is The Only Rose, a stakes finalist in the Felix Banuelos Jimenez Classic. She has only one start in the US, and she earned her ROM in that race. She has no US earnings. Forgot The Rose had two wins in five starts earning $11,735. Official is a non-starter from this cross.
When breeders inbreed, they are working to set type as the goal for this breeding practice. But in this case, we have runners that have a variety of color and conformation with the common denominator of speed. I find that very interesting as it isn’t according
