Apollitical Blood once more topped the list of his earners and was named 2015 Champion 3-Year-Old Colt.
In 2016, Apollitical Jess was again dominant as the #1 leading third year sire by winners & money with over $5.2 million. Apolltical Chad topped his earner list that year.
As of press time, Apollitical Jess sits as
the #1 leading sire of 2017 with over $5.4 million. It is Hold Air Hostage who tops his list of 2017 earners with over $1.2 million. Apollitical Jess is also the leading sire of Graded stakes winners, soaring above the other sires with 18 and climbing.
2015 All American Derby-G1 winner Apollitical Blood is still his all-time top money earner with $1,519,800, but others nipping
at his heels include 2017 competitors Hold Air Hostage ($1,216,317), Apolltical Chad ($874,665) and AJS High ($824,672).
In the sale barn, horses sired by Apollitical Jess have consistently been among the leaders. His first yearlings in 2013 sold for an average of $23,832, with his top seller going for $125,000. In 2014, his yearlings sold for an average of $24,138, his top seller reaching $260,000 as the Ruidoso Select Yearling Sale 2nd-highest seller. In 2015, he was again among the top sires with 58 yearlings selling for an average of $17,581, and in 2016, he had 45 yearlings go through the ring for an average
of $28,213. His top seller that year went for
$200,000 as the sale topper of the Heritage Place Yearling Sale. So far in 2017, Apollitical Jess is a leading sire at the TQHA Yearling Sale and Los Alamitos Equine Sale; the leading sire and the
sire of 3 of the top 4 high sellers, including the $70,000 high seller, at the first Ruidoso Select Foal-In-Utero Sale; a leading sire at the Ruidoso Select Yearling Sale, including three $100,000 sellers; a leading sire at the Heritage Place Yearling Sale, including the #4 top seller at $105,000; and he is the #4 leading sire of sale yearlings at the Heritage Place Fall Mixed Sale.
Now, the 10-year-old stallion Apollitical Jess is at the perfect age in his breeding career. He transitioned as a World Champion on the track to a stalwart sire in the industry. And, it is with great anticipation that we look toward what his future holds. Throughout his journey, he has always had someone steering him along his path and urging him forward to be the best he could be. He couldn’t have done what he has without those who have been there along the way. His breeder/owner. His trainer. His regular rider Eduardo Nicasio. JEH Stallion Station, where he began his breeding career & stood from 2012-2016. David James of James Ranch and those who now work with him in the breeding shed. Certainly, there are many others. And
this is just as it should be, since every creature should be so blessed as to march through their life seasons with another by their side.
