FOXY COWGIRL

Foxy Cowgirl, the third-fastest qualifier, kept her perfect record intact with a neck victory in the $165,880 Jim Bader Futurity
for Iowa-bred two year olds at Prairie Meadows on Sept. 30.
Prepped by Ed Hardy for owners Paul Luedemann, Corey Wilmes, and Xcel Farms, Foxy Cowgirl covered 350 yards in :17.460 while racing against a reported 5-mph head wind. Edwin Escobedo rode the filly, who earned $74,646 from her first career stakes score and a lifetime-best 100
speed index.
Foxy Cowgirl was coming off of a wire-to- wire, neck victory in one of four Jim Bader Futurity trials on Sept. 9.
The filly was bred by Christine Hovey, and she is out of unraced Foxy Millie, who Hovey purchased
for $23,000 at the 2013 Heritage Place Yearling Sale in Oklahoma City. She has
produced two winners from three starters. Foxy Cowgirl is her first stakes winner.
Foxy Cowgirl made her career debut with a 1-length victory in a 300-yard $18,600 maiden-special-weight dash for Iowa-breds at Prairie Meadows on July 24. All told, the filly has won all three of her outs and has banked a total of $91,690.
Foxy Cowgirl’s second dam, Streakin Millie, was a finalist in the 1993 Ed Burke Memorial-G1, Dash For Cash Futurity-G1,
and Miss Kindergarten Futurity-G2 futurities at Los Alamitos. The filly traces back to her fourth dam, stakes winner Kiptymylou.
Fastest qualifier AB Boogie (Apollitical Blood- Boogie Wagon) finished second while earning the $29,858 runner-up share of the Jim Bader Futurity purse for his owner Ruben Mojica, bringing his total bankroll to $40,312. Alfredo Triana
Jr. rode the homebred bay gelding for trainer Manuel Mojica Campos.
In his second stakes performance, Cowboy 123 (Flying Cowboy 123-Corona Carmelita) ran third, a nose behind AB Boogie, while pocketing the $16,588 third-place share of the purse for
his owner, Stephen Moyle. The sorrel gelding finished second in the Hawkeye Futurity at Prairie Meadows in July. Berkley Packer rode Cowboy 123 for trainer Alex Wessels.
Five Bar Phi (Five Bar Cartel-Number One Chorreada) finished fourth, and was followed by Kool Lil Wink (Lil Kool Wagon-Give A Wink), Magic King Feet (Eye Am King-CR Lota Girl), Summerhill Express (Freighttrain B-One Famous Hawkeye), TS Buy Me A Corona (First Moonflash-Corona Springs), Queens Grace (Tres Seis-Queen Of Anywhere), and Go To The Wood (Lil Kool Wagon-Fly Around Chueca).

Sent to post at odds of 20-1 in a full field of 10 state-bred juveniles, ninth-fastest qualifier Mound Valley Glock won the 300-
yard $164,800 Rock Springs Wyoming Bred Futurity at Sweetwater Downs on Sept. 30. Mound Valley Glock defeated fifth-fastest
qualifier and 31-1 longshot VVR Dianas Angel by a short nose in :15.350 while recording a career-best 105 speed index.
Jesus Virgen rode the homebred son of the Foose stallion Glock for owners Andrea and Eddie Jensen, and trainer
Tony Hyde. Mound Valley
Glock earned the $65,920 winner’s share of the purse.
Mound Valley Glock
was coming off of a clear 2 1/4-length victory in one of 14 Rock Springs Wyoming Bred Futurity trials run over two days, Sept. 16-17. Raced exclusively in Wyoming, the colt has won four of six starts and has banked $76,071, and his
early season resume included a 10th-place finish as the 10th-fastest qualifier in the 330-yard $90,000 Ron Cook Wyoming Bred Futurity at Wyoming Downs on June 17.
The sorrel colt is out of winner Chasin Streamers, a finalist in the 2019 Hadley/ Giles Futurity at Weber Downs in Ogden, Utah. His second dam, the Proudest Effort mare Ms Legacy Lane, won the 2004 Beehive Futurity at Laurel Brown Racetrack near Salt Lake City, Utah and
ran second in that season’s Silver Dollar Futurity-RG2 at Wyoming Downs.
VVR Dianas Angel (Whata Corona Runner- Princess Elsa) was clocked
in at :15.358 and also earned a 105 speed index while pocketing the $32,960 runner-up share of the purse for his owner Triple G Racing LLC. Oscar Cervantes rode the bay colt for trainer Jorge Garfias. VVR Dianas Angel
was a finalist in the Mike Lipp Wyoming Stallion Breeders’ Futurity on Sept. 2.
Second-fastest qualifier Pro Mona (Dustin Pro-Monakura Sr) ran third, a nose behind VVR Dianas Angel, and earned $16,480 for her owner Rick Hillstead, who also trains
the bay filly. Ridden by Kody Kellenberger, this was Pro Mona’s sixth out and first stakes performance of her career and she also earned a 105 speed index.
Cantinera (Pappasito-James Diva) finished fourth, and was followed by Jets Eyes (EC Jet One-Hawkinson Eyes), Pappas Fame (Pappasito-Makn Fame), Pappas Western Fame (Pappasito-A Western Leader), VVR Easyonthelipps (Pistol Packin Perry-Aaneta), KDB Dynasty (Jr Dynasty Mountain-Steffies Dashn Moves), and Lt Gun Runner (Glock-Nurturist).
