Owned by OB Horses LLC and trained by Miguel Rodriguez, the sorrel gelding is a 3-time winner and, though he is still in search of his initial stake score, he was a finalist in this year’s LQHBA Louisiana Million Futurity-RG1. Jim and Natalie Montgomery bred Special Politico in Louisiana.
HH Gailforce (Freghttrain B-Open My Prize) and jockey Luis Ruiz battled bravely despite drifting out and held third for owner Egoizzta Partnership and trainer Joel Cantu. Winner of last year’s Mardi Gras Futurity-RG2 at Louisiana Downs, HH Gailforce was bred in Louisiana by Harvey Hayes.
