Moonlight Corona, also a half-sister to Grade 1 winner Not A Full Moon, has produced 14 winners from 18 starters. In addition to Circle City and Nomadic, those winners also include stakes- placed Stroller. This is the family of Champion Moonist, a son of Your First Moon.
Oscar Andrade Jr. rode Long Time Favorite (Favorite Cartel-Long Stemmed Roses) to sec- ond for trainer Jose Flores and owner Howard Nichols. Long Time Favorite had won three of his 16 previous races.
Dr. Steve Burns’ homebred You Can Run (Favorite Cartel-You Can Fly) ran third.
Jesus Ayala rode the gelding for trainer Mike Casselman. You Can Run finished second in the 2019 Los Alamitos Juvenile Invitational Stakes and 2020 Los Alamitos Winter Derby-G1.
Completing the field were Tell Cartel (Favorite Cartel-Chicks Tell), Spring Favorite (Favorite Cartel-Spring Bling), Corona Required (Corona Cartel-No Tools Required), Sass Mo Blue (Apollitical Jess-Sass Me Blue), Taco Twosday (Favorite Cartel-Separtini), and Pay Me In Front (FDD Dynasty-Bac In Front).
