Eye On Paydirt was fourth, Copper Buff fifth, Whosleavingwho sixth, Beccas Quick Six seventh, Ima Royal Winner eighth and Toughest Test ninth. Whosleavingwho was the only horse to qualify for all three of the Ruidoso major futurities in 2000. He was named the 2002 Co-World Champion.
The industry was abuzz with Eyesa Special and his record setting All American Futurity win. So, what was next? Well, it was another New Track Record setting performance in the Texas Classic Futurity-G1. He won his trial and then set a track and stakes record clocking of :19.48

in the finals by knocking 15/100ths of a second off the previous record for 400 yards. He broke the record of My Love Wont Wait, Pack Of Memories and the stakes record set by Mr Jess Perry of :19.66. Eyesa Special amassed a record of five wins in six starts at two, with earnings of $1,373,519. He was named the 2000 Champion 2 Year Old and Champion 2-Year-Old Colt.
The 2001 racing record of Eyesa Special shows he was back on the road when he won his trial for the Remington Park Derby, in which
it was noted that “he was much the best” in
this race. He finished third in the finals where
it was stated that he was “fractious in the gate.” His next start came in the Heritage Place Derby trials with a win. But the racing notes indicate that he “bled” in the race, and he didn’t run
in the finals. His last start was a seventh in
the Rainbow Derby trials with with race notes indicating that he “veered to the right.”
Eyesa Special was purchased by the Eyesa Special Partnership in August of 2001. He began his sire career at the Burnett Ranches
of Guthrie, Texas. He has sired the winners of over $5.2 million, with 315 starters, 218 ROM and 12 stakes winners. His leading money earner is Eyesa Jumpin, winner of $460,270 including the 2007 Harrah’s Entertainment Futurity-G2. Eyesa Special is the broodmare sire of horses that have won over $5.8 million, including 312 starters, 225 ROM and 13 stakes winners, including Eyesa Famous Eagle with $254,973 including a win in the 2014 Los Alamitos Derby Challenge. Eyesa Special was sold in 2012 to PB Export LTDA and sent to Brazil to stand at stud.
Eyesa Special fulfilled the All American Dream for Jim Pitts, Terry Bell and Homer
Hill. He provided Jack Brooks with his eighth All American victory and Jacky Martin with his seventh. He also gave Marvin Selig and Allen Moehrig a record setting All American Futurity winner, this time as co-breeders. This gives them two noteworthy All American Futurity winners in Special Effort and his maternal grandson Eyesa Special - kind of like keeping the All American Dream in the family, so to speak.
