Ron Lyles bred Political Attraction out
of lightly raced Gunsight Peak. Political Attraction is her first foal. Apollitical Jess isn’t the only black type in the female family. Favorite Attraction produced stakes-placed Half Time Attraction, the dam of Champion and Broodmare of the Year Apollitical Time and the second dam of Apollitical Jess.
Eos A Political Win (Apollitical Jess-Pithia), owned by Elite Oilfield Services, ran second for jockey Omar Reyes and trainer Manuel Almanza. The colt has won one race and fin- ished second twice in three starts.
Jose Rojas owns and trains third-place Tempting Diamonds (Tempting Dash- Diamonds For Toni). Jesus Salazar piloted the filly, who previously won two futurity trials in four starts.
Rounding out the field were Bad Neighbor (Country Chicks Man-The Kooch), Express Train No 9 (Freighttrain B-Wildfire Express Two), Majestic Corona (Fantastic Corona Jr-JJ Dash), Chasin My Desire (Chicks Regard-Hi Ho Desirio), Miss Racy Cartel (Corona Cartel- Miss Racy Jess), Katherinessecrethope (No Secrets Here-Royal Stiletto) and One Lucky Corona (One Sweet Jess-Teller Shes Lucky).
