Eric Pineda’s Everybuddys Talkin, a
brown daughter of Gonna Ro Sham Bo, was a prompt 5-2 favorite in the March 31, 350-yard Sunburst Stakes (RG3) for New Mexico-bred 3-year-old fillies at Sunland Park.
Ridden by Raul Herrera for trainer Ricardo Armendariz and aided by a reported 14-mph tail wind, Everybuddys Talkin defeated Daddys Copy by a neck in :17.466. The $51,000 winner’s share of the $85,000 purse from her second career stakes victory pushed the filly’s earnings to $163,335 from nine starts.
Everybuddys Talkin was bred by Bauer Farm, LLC. The filly’s sire, Gonna Ro Sham Bo, is a 14-year-old gray son of Real Runaway and half brother to stakes winner Big Bang Zoom. The filly’s third dam, the winning Rime mare Blazin Rime, was a final- ist in three futurities during the ’98 season, including Cowgirl Cadilac’s Zia Futurity (RG2) at Ruidoso Downs.
Everybuddys Talkin traces back to her fourth dam, Logical Lark, an Oklahoma-bred daughter of 1979 world champion Moon Lark who won the ’89 Central Wyoming Fair Futurity.
Everybuddys Talkin has won two races, including the 400-yard, $206,853 Shue Fly Stakes (RG2) at Sunland Park in January.
