She’s Precious, who was ridden by Terry Lipham in the Vessels Maturity, won 9 stakes races, set a Los Alamitos New Track Record for 400- yards, earned $242,927, and was named 1976 Champion Aged Horse and 1976 Champion Aged Mare. She went on to produce 100% winners/ ROM from 7 starters.
This year’s $100,000 Mildred N. Vessels Memorial Handicap-G1 was held at Los Alamitos on September 27 and was won by Quirky.
