Stakes winner Mpshinning (Mr Piloto- Shinningperrydash), victorious in four straight races heading into the Dash for Cash Futurity, closed ground late under Luis Vivanco to finish second for owner Larry Boudreaux and trainer Adrian Huitron. The bay colt, who was bred
in Louisiana by Jon and Donna McPherson, scored in the $154,300 Gillespie County Fair Futurity on Aug. 26.
Almanza also saddled Mr Corona Crystal (Mr Jess Perry-Corona Crystal), who rallied strongly late under Ricky Ramirez to fin-
ish third for owner Hector Reza. La Presita LLC/LJM Ranch Inc. bred the sorrel colt in California. Mr Corona Crystal was a finalist in the Heritage Place Juvenile in June.
Some Tempting Dash (Tempting Dash- Fast Prize Rose), Parti Wagon (PYC Paint Your Wagon-Sheisassheis), One Famous Stone (One Famous Eagle-Strength in Numbers), FM IM A Zatanaz Too (Tempting Dash-Dashingfordestiny), Acoronas Toast (Coronas Leaving You-Toast of Magic) and Im Sporting Rock (Corona Cartel-Painted Silk) completed the order of finish. Washita Jack was scratched.
