                                    The Dunns won their first big race with 2-year-old Paint filly Baileys And Rum in the Tulsa State Fair Stakes on July 28.

took her, and the pair quickly began winning. They made two NFRs together, winning three rounds there and adding many other wins to their records, tallying close to
$.5 million in earnings.
Mulberry Canyon Moon became the foun-
dation for Dunn Ranch. In 2012, she produced MCM Imasharpguy by A Sharp Frenchman. Ridden by Stevi Hillman, the talented gray gelding known as “Sharpie” has earned more than $175,000 and finished second in the AQHA/WPRA Barrel Racing Horse of the Year voting in 2017.
The Dunns’ first big win came just a few months ago with a Paint named Baileys And Rum, by Dominyun QH and out of the Real Easy Cash daughter Baileys N Sunsets. “We’ve had a few qualifiers to big races but we haven’t hit the Grade 1 yet,” Matt says.
But he and Bendi are hopeful that with about a dozen and a half youngsters in training and through the broodmares they’ve accumu- lated, a stakes win is in the making. Among Dunn Ranch’s rising stars are:

“I’ve got a few mares on the racehorse side that I feel very fortunate to own,” Matt says. “I think Tres Seis was a great broodmare sire and I own Tres Sea, the only Tres Seis daughter of Runaway Wave, by Wave Carver. That horse can run!
“There was a great mare named Send Me The Candy, and I think I own the only Tres Seis daughter of hers: Send City. Apollitical Pence (see above) is her first baby.
