Open Me A Corona showed talent right from the start.
At the age of two in 2012, he went undefeated in three outings, culminating with a rich victory in the $1 million Louisiana QHBA Futurity-RG1.
He started only twice in 2013 and was away from the races for nearly eight months.
He added two more stakes wins during 2014 before embarking on his 2015 championship season.
To begin 2015, Open Me A Corona scored in his second consecutive Mr Jess Perry Louisiana Downs Stakes.
Moving to Delta Downs, Open Me A Corona tallied three graded stakes victories in quick succession.
He sped home quickly in the John Alleman Memorial Stakes-RG3 and Vals Fortune Stakes- RG2, winning both by a decisive 3/4- length.
He cut it closer in the Louisiana Classic Stakes-RG2, grabbing the victory by just a narrow neck.
At Evangeline Downs, Open Me A Corona crushed six rivals to capture the Opelousas Stakes by 2-lengths. He did it despite the ground breaking out from under him in the first jump out of the gate.
Open Me A Corona went out a winner, appropriately enough in the Louisiana Champions Day Classic-RG2 at the Fair Grounds. As the 3-10 favorite, he powered to the front immediately and scored by 1 1/2-lengths.
