The Helmuths got two fillies out of Ms Dash Beduino, who sadly later colicked and died. Those two fillies have become the main- stay of the Helmuths’ breeding operation.
Eyesa First, by Eyesa Special, arrived in 2003, won the Kansas Futurity-RG2, and earned $105,700. She has since produced stakes winner BV Valentine Wagon.
Ms Tres Seis, foaled the next year and by Tres Seis, got hurt early in her racing career and thus won only one race in three starts. The Helmuths began breeding Ms Tres Seis.
“She’s an awesome mare—the best brood- mare we’ve ever had,” said Fred.
Ms Tres Seis has produced five starters, and four of them have won, all stakes winners or stakes-placed. BV Mr Azoom, by Azoom, came first and captured the 2010 Easy Jet Stakes. BV Tellercartel, by Teller Cartel, finished second in the 2013 Golden Driller Stakes. BV Travelin Soldier, by Corona Cartel, not only placed in last year’s Futurity, he ran third in the 2015 Mr Master Bug Handicap. Then came BV Midnite Express, by Freighttrain B.
“Bubba liked him from the get-go,” said Fred, who has paid BV Midnite Express into the All American Futurity-G1.
Jesus Salazar rode A Tres Of Paint (Tres Seis- First Painted Sign) to second place for trainer Charles Shults and owner Sara Leann Morgan. The filly had won two of her four previous starts.

Regard With Respect (Chicks Regard- Dynamite Friends), owned by Nancy Powell and bred by Powell and her late husband, Darrell, ran third for jockey Larry Payne. Guillermo Valdivia trains the gelding, who won his first three starts, including the Remington Park Oklahoma-Bred Futurity.
