a full sister to Rare Walker. This mare
was the 2012 AQHA Racing Champion Three-Year-Old Filly. She won such
stakes as the Mildred N. Vessels Memorial Handicap-G1, the La Primera Del Ano Derby-G3 and was second in the 2012 Champion of Champions to earn her title.
The seventh stakes winner produced by Oh La Proud is our 2014 Speedhorse Broodmare Of The Year Look Her Over.
This mare was the winner of the California Breeders’ 550 Sophomore Handicap and the AQHA Members Plus Stakes and
was second in the Mildred N. Vessels Memorial Handicap-G1. She had 27 starts and won four races with four seconds and five thirds, earning $173,326.
The sire of Look Her Over is Check Him Out, winner of the Ed Burke Memorial Futurity-G1 and Golden State Derby-G1. Check Him Out is another million-dollar sire with his foals earning over $5 million. Some of his leading money winners would include Head Turner, winner of the Los Alamitos Winter Derby-G1 and the El Primero Del Ano Derby-G3, and Saint Shackleton, winner of the Ruidoso Futurity-G1.

Proud won the Golden West Stakes, had four wins in 30 starts and earned $52,873. Dr. Allred would retire Oh La Proud to
the broodmare band and get an explosion of runners. Oh La Proud has produced 29 registered foals with 29 performers, 22 ROM and seven stakes winners. Oh La Proud is an AQHA Dam of Distinction.
The first stakes winner she had was Mister Katella by Raise A Secret, winner of the Paul Ford Memorial Handicap 1st Division and third in the Golden State Derby-G1. Her second stakes winner was Pride Of Katella by Raise Your Secret, winner of the California Sires’ Cup Derby-RG2 and second in the Golden State Futurity-G1.
Hawkinson is the third stakes winner out of Oh La Proud. This 1997 son of First Down Dash was a two-time Grade 1 stakes winner in the Los Alamitos Winter Championship-G1 and Go Man Go Handicap-G1. He would earn $448,299 on the track and be named the 2001 AQHA Racing Champion Aged Stallion.
Hawkinson is now a million dollar sire with his foals earning of over $10 million. He is the sire of 35 stakes winners with 18 Grade 1 stakes winners.
