The LQHBA Awards Banquet, which was originally scheduled for April 4, was cancelled due to the COVID-19 virus.
LQHBA Board of Directors on March 17 cancelled the 2020 Annual Membership Meeting and Awards Banquet due to concerns for the general public and its members related to guidance from National and State of Louisiana Health Officials in regard to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The annual banquet was scheduled for April, and was to be held in conjunction with voting of officers for the coming year. According to association officials, the 2020 Election for the Board of Directors will be conducted, and an announcement was made on steps for members to complete voting via mail in ballot.
