                      Two yearlings sold for $350,000. Asscher (Hip No. 323), was purchased for that price by Lance Bland. Consigned by MJ Farms, agent, the sorrel filly is by Champion FDD Dynasty out of Astica, a 10-year- old daughter of Jesse James Jr and the sport’s Champion Sophomore Filly in 2015. Asscher is a half-sister to Wente, the winner of this year’s Shue Fly Stakes (RG2) at Sunland Park, and stakes winner Fanncee.
D Accountant (Hip No. 336) also sold for $350,000, as the partnership of Jose J. Espinoza, Aurelio Juavez, and Adam P. Sanchez signed the ticket for the Apollitical Blood colt. Consigned by Lazy E Ranch LLC, agent for Victor Diaz, D Accountant is out of Breck N Records, a winning 10-year-old daughter of PYC Paint Your Wagon, and he is a full brother to 2019 Champion 2-Year-Old Gelding Trump My Record.
The Select Sale’s fourth-highest seller, SC Time To Run (Hip No. 100), was purchased by Dunn Ranch for $335,000. Consigned by Lazy E Ranch LLC, agent for Reliance Ranches LLC, the sorrel Apollitical Jess colt is out of Spit Curl Diva, a 16-year-old daughter of Spit Curl Jess and the sport’s Champion Aged Horse in 2010, and he is a half- brother to five stakes winners, including Grade 3 winner and 2016 Champion 2-Year-Old Filly Coronas First Diva and Grade 2 winner SC Money Maker.
Apicasso Jess (Hip No. 365) was the sale’s fifth-highest seller, as the Apollitical Jess colt was purchased for $315,000 by the West Texas Racing Partnership from the consignment of Marty Powers, agent for CLC Partners. Apicasso Jess is out of Cassandra Crest, a winning and Grade 1-placed daughter of the First Down Dash stallion Holland Ease, and he is a full brother to two-time Champion Apocalyptical Jess and a half to stakes winner and 2012 Heritage Place Futurity (G1) finalist CC Seis.
Also, at the Select Sale, a total of 24 New Mexico-bred yearlings -- all of whom are nominated to next year’s $1-million New Mexico State Fair Futurity (RG3) at Albuquerque Downs -- sold for an aggregate total of $1,521,000 (average-per-head, $63,375). The sale’s
top-selling New Mexico-bred, Lite Light (Hip No. 96), was purchased for $180,000 by Triple R Racing LLC from the consignment of MJ Farms, agent. A gray daughter of Big Daddy Cartel and 2009 AQHA Champion 3-Year-Old Filly Alice K White, Lite Light is a half-sister to 2015 Champion Sophomore Filly Astica and a full to multiple graded stakes winner Bigg Daddy.
The West Texas Racing Partnership was the Select Sale’s leading buyer with seven purchases grossing $1,765,000. Burns Ranch, agent, led all Select Sale consigners with $3,356,000 gross receipts on 23 head sold.
Apollitical Jess was the sale’s leading sire by average (with two or more sold), with 37 head averaging $137,432. Flying Cowboy 123, a multiple graded stakes winning 6-year-old son of Apollitical Jess, was the sale’s leading first-crop sire by average (with two or more sold) with 11 head averaging $61,727.
 Ruidoso Select Yearling Sale NM Bred highest seller Hip #96 Lite Light (Big Daddy Cartel-Alice K. White, First Down Dash) was purchased for $180,000 by Triple R Racing LLC. The filly was consigned by MJ Farms, agent.
